Rex Godwin regarded the two boys standing across from him. They certainly seemed at odds with each other - neither were willing to meet the other’s eyes, and were both in a thunderous mood.

They had questions for him. Of course they did. Butvhe also had questions for them, ones that he… could not afford to pay attention to, could not afford to speak aloud.

'Where did you get my brother's card from?'

That was one.

He knew who they were, though. How could he not, when their ancestry was written plainly on their faces for all with eyes to see?

He sighed, despite his efforts to hold it back as he listened to them.

This was suddenly about much more than getting his brother’s old card back. Perhaps… against his better judgement, the boy should keep it. Because without any defence, he would fall to Rudger’s rage like a leaf to a tornado.

So, for now, all he could do was find a place for Fudo Yuusei in Jack Atlas’ ‘duel kingdom’. And possibly a way to keep them both within sight without having them at each others’ throats.

Rudger twirled the Ancient Fairy Dragon between his fingers and the desk.

His card - someone… they had HIS card.

It wasn’t theirs to have. And when he’d heard of who it was, he realised that he shouldn’t have been surprised. Like father, like son. Perhaps theft of this sort ran in the family, regardless of whether the younger Fudo knew what he was a part of or not.

Theft of his card. Theft of his place. Had EVERYTHING been taken from him, that should have been his?!

Not that it mattered, a small yet confident voice told him in the near and far corners of his mind. He didn’t need it any more. Not any of it.

Still. Even so.

They had something of his. And he had something of theirs.

I’ll lay out the trap, he thought to himself. And they will be unable to move to find a way out. And I… I, will take back what was meant to be MINE.

TL;DR: Yuusei came along after Jack - ostensibly to haul Jack's backside back and beat some sense into him - but ends up having to stay in Neo Domino as well. Good thing, too - because Rudger has somehow found out that Yuusei has HIS old Signer Dragon, and doesn't like it. At all.

Tough luck for all of them, really, as Jack gets glared at each day by Yuusei, Yuusei hates being there for the most part, and Rex gets grief from both of the boys, but especially Yuusei, even though keeping them there means they don't get offed.

Yuusei is currently 16 years old and Jack is 17. Yuusei has been building his own D-Wheel, a replacement for the one Jack stole - which he's still not letting Jack hear the last of, since Jack crashed it soon after getting past the pipelines.
